List of Micro-Projects

The following micro-projects may be considered as examples for other villages and diaspora. More comprehensive lists of micro-projects are available on Adopt-a-Village Facebook pages.

Agriculture

1. Fruit tree planting - Aghavnadzor, Areni, Karaglugh, Shatin, Yeghegis villages.

2. Pine nut tree planting - Areni, Rind and Shatin villages (pine trees imported from Lebanon, thanks to Arsine Istanboulian).

       

Education

1. Kindergarten playground equipment - Rind village (supplied by Magnon OJSC, Armenia).

2. English books - Areni, Artabuynk, Chiva, Karaglukh, Shatin,  Yeghegnadzor and Yelpin villages.

3. Educational games - Aghavnadzor, Areni, Artabuynk, Chiva, Karaglugh, Rind, Shatin and Yelpin villages.

4. Sports equipment - Aghavnadzor, Areni and Rind villages.

5. School library - Khachik village, thanks to Ara Kassabian.

 

High Quality Handicraft

1. Handicraft market, Chiva village, thanks to the Samuel Seow Law Corporation, Singapore.  

2. Handicraft training - Areni, Chiva, Rind and Yelpin villages, thanks to the Samuel Seow Law Corporation, Singapore.

Tourism

1. Karas monument - Chiva-Rind villages (a collaborative micro-project by Husik Sahakyan, Zorah Wines and Len Wicks).

2. Beautification of the village entrance - Shatin village, thanks to Natuhi Karibian.

3. Installation of historical place signs - Areni village.

4. Installation of rubbish bins - Shatin village.

5. Silk Road tourist road signs - Areni (Areni-1, Noravank), Chiva, Artabuynk (Yeghehis Sanctuary and Smbataberd), Shatin and Caravanserai.




Utilities (Gas, Power and Water)

1. Solar panels to charge cellphones for villagers herding livestock in remote places - Aghavnadzor, Karaglukh, Shatin and Yeghegis villages.
